1.
Surface Prep
We start by covering all floors and furniture. On new builds, we then putty any nail holes or seams, sand and clean any debris from the surface. Next, we caulk and prime with a top quality level 5 finish that throughly seals the unfinished sheetrock and trim. The level 5 primer does a great job of hiding any minor imperfections in the surface. On homes with previously painted walls, we fill nail holes and do spot blemish repair based on the customer’s desired level of perfection as outlined in the contract.

Product Selection
The four main things to consider when selecting a product are quality, color, sheen and paint type. Selecting a high quality paint product is key to extending the life expectancy of the paint job. Wall color is a very personal choice and has the greatest visual impact on a room. The condition of the surface and the desired degree of washability determine the best sheen selection. The main paint type options include water-based, oil-based, and acrylic. Your paint professional will be there to guide you each step of the way.

Product Application
When applying paint or stain, the best practice is to work from the top to the bottom of the room to protect the previously completed area from any drips. Two coats of paint is applied to the ceiling, crown moulding, walls, then baseboards. The ceiling staining process varies, as several layers of stain is applied, followed by several layers of a sealing product to achieve the final look.

Nothing gives a home more of a custom touch than adding warm natural wood elements. Too much wood can be visually overwhelming. Stratigically placed wood elements can quickly elevate your home to a custom level.
Staining select planked ceilings, beams, fireplace mantles, stairs and railings are among the many ways to add that unique touch. Although, we do not stain floors, we can easily help you choose a stain color and technique that will match, coordinate or contrast with your existing wood floor color.
